Apple is rumored to have several strategic releases up its sleeve, including the iPad Pro M5, Apple TV, HomePod mini, and the new AirTag. According to insiders, the tech giant may host a special event in October or November, or opt for a week-long product launch blitz, a strategy previously used for the iPad, AirPods Max, and HomePod releases.
Apple TV

After a three-year hiatus, the Apple TV is due for an upgrade. While the design may remain unchanged, performance is expected to soar with the A17 Pro chip, previously seen in the iPhone 15 Pro and iPad mini 7. The A17 Pro supports Apple Intelligence, enabling smarter content recommendations.
Although a full Siri upgrade is not expected until 2026, the new Apple TV is anticipated to launch later this year with a more powerful GPU and Apple’s custom N1 networking chip, optimizing Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Apple is also considering a price reduction or retaining the older model at a lower price to compete with the Amazon Fire Stick 4K.
iPad Pro M5

According to BGR, the new iPad Pro with the M5 chip is set to launch in October. The 11-inch and 13-inch models will retain the M4 design but offer significant performance improvements: a 12% faster CPU, a 36% more powerful GPU, and 12GB of RAM. Leaks suggest Apple is testing a dual front-camera setup for both landscape and portrait video calls. Notably, the selfie camera may receive an upgrade similar to the iPhone 17, enhancing photo and video call quality.
Apple Vision Pro

The Apple Vision Pro mixed-reality headset is likely to receive an M5 chip upgrade, replacing the current M2. The design will remain the same, but the focus will be on enhanced performance and graphics processing. Additionally, Apple may introduce a new headband to reduce pressure on the head and neck, improving long-term wear comfort. Insider reports suggest the upgraded Vision Pro is ready and could launch before the end of the year.
HomePod mini 2

Five years after the original HomePod mini launch, 2025 is expected to bring a significant upgrade. The new device will likely feature the S10 chip, similar to the Apple Watch Series 11, enabling better real-time audio processing and on-device Siri functionality without an internet connection. The HomePod mini 2 will also include the N1 networking chip, supporting Wi-Fi 6GHz, and may introduce more vibrant color options.
AirTag 2

The second-generation AirTag is expected to retain its design but introduce internal improvements. The speaker will be more difficult to remove to prevent unauthorized tracking by disabling alerts. The second-generation Ultra Wideband chip will triple the connection range, offering more precise tracking. However, Apple has no plans to include a rechargeable battery or a wallet-like design as previously rumored.
MacBook Pro M5

While initial rumors suggested a 2026 launch for the MacBook Pro M5, recent reports indicate Apple may release it in late 2025 to avoid overlapping with next year’s MacBook OLED plans. The first release could be a base model, with the more advanced M5 Pro and M5 Max variants following later. Additionally, Apple is testing a budget-friendly MacBook with an A-series chip, targeting mainstream users.
