According to the latest update from MWG, the upward momentum of The Gioi Di Dong and Dien May Xanh in September was driven by iPhone sales and laptop categories. Revenue from mobile phone sales, particularly through the TopZone chain, benefited as Apple launched its iPhone earlier in Vietnam this year.
Both the mobile phone and electronics segments of Mobile World Investment Corporation (HOSE: MWG) are led by Mr. Doan Van Hieu Em through the managing entity, Mobile World Joint Stock Company (MW). During a strategic investor dialogue in early August, MWG leaders revealed plans to IPO its subsidiary MW before 2030.
In terms of business performance, MWG’s mobile phone and electronics segments achieved a cumulative revenue of VND 76.5 trillion in the first nine months, up nearly 15% year-on-year, despite a slow market recovery and a decrease in the average number of stores. The company attributes this positive result to revenue growth in existing stores, driven by a focus on services and comprehensive financial solutions for customers.

For Bach Hoa Xanh, the mini supermarket chain recorded a cumulative nine-month revenue of VND 34.4 trillion, up 14% year-on-year. However, its growth rate has slowed in recent months.
According to MWG, Bach Hoa Xanh’s business efficiency in Q3/2025 improved compared to Q2/2025, thanks to cost optimization and shrinkage control.
As of September, the chain opened 520 new stores this year, with over 50% located in the Central region. These new stores reported positive store-level profits after deducting direct operating and warehousing costs.
In Q4/2025, Bach Hoa Xanh plans to selectively expand into new provinces and regions where it already has a presence. Notably, the chain has begun recruiting staff to expand into the Northern market.
