Groundbreaking Ceremony for Vietnam’s Largest Stadium with Automated Retractable Dome, Led by General Secretary To Lam and Constructed by Vinhomes as General Contractor

On the morning of October 19th, in Hưng Yên, the Ministry of Public Security officially held the groundbreaking ceremony for the PVF Stadium, a 60,000-seat venue featuring cutting-edge technologies introduced to Vietnam for the first time. General Secretary Tô Lâm attended the event and performed the groundbreaking ritual for this nationally symbolic project.

The event was attended by Politburo members: Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Head of the Central Inspection Commission; Nguyen Xuan Thang, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council; Nguyen Van Nen, Standing Member of the Sub-Committee for the 14th Party Congress Documents; General Phan Van Giang, Minister of National Defense; General Luong Tam Quang, Minister of Public Security, along with other high-ranking leaders from the Party, State, National Assembly, and various ministries.

The PVF Stadium project is invested by the Ministry of Public Security, located at the PVF Youth Football Training Center in Nghia Tru Commune, Hung Yen Province. The general contractor selected is Vinhomes Joint Stock Company, a member of Vingroup. Upon completion, it will be Vietnam’s largest stadium, surpassing the National Stadium My Dinh.

Speaking at the ceremony, General Luong Tam Quang, Minister of Public Security, emphasized that the project is a vital cultural and sports facility. It not only fulfills the aspirations of the People’s Public Security’s sports development but also contributes to building a strong nation. The stadium is expected to become a hub for public physical activities, strengthening the bond between the police force and the community.

As the general contractor, Mr. Pham Thieu Hoa, Chairman of Vinhomes, stated that the PVF Stadium is designed to be a leading Asian sports facility, meeting FIFA standards to host major international events like the World Cup. The stadium features advanced technologies, notably a fully automated retractable dome roof that can open or close within 12–20 minutes, a first in Vietnam, inspired by the AT&T Stadium in the U.S.

Additionally, the pitch uses hybrid modular grass technology, combining natural and synthetic fibers to enhance durability and adaptability for various events, from professional sports to international entertainment. The entire project is part of a 92-hectare sports and service complex, featuring a 55,000 m² stadium, a plaza, and an 18-hectare parking area.

The stadium covers over 55,000 m², seats 60,000 spectators, and meets requirements for hosting World Cup and regional matches.

As the general contractor, Vinhomes pledges to deploy the best resources, ensure quality, progress, and safety at every stage, and strictly adhere to design and technical standards. The PVF Stadium is expected to become a national sports hub and a focal point for major domestic and international events, enhancing Vietnam’s global standing.
