The $100 Million Road Project Connecting Hanoi’s Ring Roads is Nearing Completion

The Minh Khai – Vĩnh Tuy – Yên Duyên road project, connecting Ring Road 2.5 to Ring Road 3 in Hoàng Mai District, spans 2.07km with a width of 40m. Approved in October 2023 by Hanoi People’s Committee, the project’s total investment is VND 370 billion, including VND 221 billion for construction and VND 85 billion for land clearance. The project is managed by the Hoàng Mai Infrastructure Investment Project Management Board.

Half of the road section from Gamuda Urban Area to Hoàng Mai Residential Area, approximately 1km long, is under construction with foundation and underground utilities being installed.

The remaining section from Hoàng Mai Residential Area to Vĩnh Hoàng Urban Area, passing through agricultural land, has yet to begin construction. Locals are currently cultivating crops on the uncleared land.

The segment through Hoàng Mai Residential Area is undergoing foundation work, while the section connecting to Ring Road 2.5 remains pending.

Located in a densely populated area with heavy traffic, the project prioritizes construction safety.

Half of the road has been completed and is temporarily in use, connecting Gamuda Urban Area for several years.

Construction crews are working diligently to meet deadlines, leveraging favorable weather for land leveling, compaction, and underground pipe installation.

Designed as an urban standard road, it features a 40m width, 60km/h speed limit, central median, and integrated utilities. The project requires approximately 65,000m² of land acquisition.

The road linking Ring Road 2.5 to Ring Road 3 in Hoàng Mai District is progressing rapidly. Upon completion, it will enhance connectivity, ease traffic congestion, and improve travel convenience for residents.
