During the month, the index peaked at 277.08 points on October 16th. Meanwhile, the average stock trading volume reached 107.9 million shares per session, a nearly 10% decrease, and the average trading value dropped by almost 8%, settling at 2.496 trillion VND per session.

Foreign investors’ trading value increased by 22% compared to the previous month. Specifically, their buying value exceeded 2.101 trillion VND, while selling surpassed 4.014 trillion VND, resulting in a net selling value of over 1.913 trillion VND.
In contrast, proprietary trading activities of member securities companies decreased by 21% from the previous month, with a trading value of more than 535 billion VND (accounting for 2% of the entire market), and a net selling value of nearly 153 billion VND.
As of the end of October, HNX listed 306 companies with a total listing value exceeding 173 trillion VND. The market capitalization at the month’s final trading session reached nearly 448 trillion VND, a more than 2% increase compared to September.

In October, Vietnam’s stock market welcomed nearly 311,000 new investor accounts, despite a gradual cooling in market activity. Over the first ten months of 2025, the market has seen an impressive addition of approximately 2.1 million accounts.
