WinCommerce (WCM), a Masan Group subsidiary operating the WinMart/WinMart+/WiN chain, reported a remarkable 24.7% revenue surge in October, reaching over 3.45 trillion VND. This growth is part of a consistent upward trend, with a 17.4% year-to-date increase to 31.9 trillion VND, surpassing the annual target of 8-12%.
WCM’s expansion strategy has been equally impressive, with 529 new stores opened in 2025, 75% of which are WinMart+ outlets in rural areas. Notably, all new stores are profitable from the outset, a rare feat in the retail sector. The Central region has emerged as a key growth driver, contributing nearly half of the new stores.
Same-store sales (LFL) have consistently grown by 7-12%, reflecting improved operational efficiency and robust consumer demand. This internal growth, coupled with strategic expansion, positions WCM as a pivotal growth engine for Masan, reinforcing its leadership in modernizing Vietnam’s retail landscape.
Aligning with the government’s “Retail Market Development Strategy 2030, Vision 2050,” WCM is spearheading the modernization of retail, particularly in rural areas. By bringing high-quality, affordable products to rural consumers, WCM is bridging the urban-rural consumption gap and enhancing living standards.
Masan’s unique distribution ecosystem, encompassing 4,500 WinMart/WinMart+/WiN stores and partnerships with 400,000 traditional outlets, underpins its ambitious goal of 10,000 stores by 2030. This data-driven approach enables precise store location and model selection, ensuring sustainable expansion.
Leveraging SUPRA’s advanced logistics and AI-powered inventory management, WCM optimizes costs and enhances competitiveness. The Auto Replenishment Engine automates 66% of ordering, saving 300 billion VND annually, with a 90% automation target by 2026. The Location Scoring System further refines store placement, especially in high-potential rural areas.
As Vietnam prioritizes retail modernization, WCM’s scalable technology, efficient operations, and strategic focus are pivotal in standardizing retail infrastructure, promoting Vietnamese products, and delivering a modern shopping experience. This positions WCM for sustained growth and leadership in Vietnam’s evolving retail sector.
