Chinese Business Leaders Pledge $10 Billion in Revenue Commitments to Vietnam During Meeting with General Secretary

On the afternoon of November 15th, at the Communist Party of Vietnam’s Central Headquarters, General Secretary Tô Lâm received Mr. Vương Lai Thắng, Vice Chairman of Luxshare-ICT Group (China).

During the meeting, the General Secretary highly appreciated and welcomed Luxshare-ICT Group’s commitment to fostering investment and business cooperation in Vietnam over the past decade, with a total investment of over $1.8 billion, while also creating jobs for tens of thousands of workers.

The General Secretary praised the positive developments in the political relationship and substantive cooperation across various fields between Vietnam and China in recent times. He emphasized that these advancements provide a solid foundation for businesses from both nations to confidently enhance exchanges, expand collaboration, and achieve mutual success, thereby strengthening the shared interests of the two countries.

The General Secretary affirmed that the Communist Party and the Government of Vietnam consistently welcome foreign enterprises to expand investment, cooperation, and achieve success in Vietnam. They are committed to providing all favorable conditions and ensuring equal treatment for all foreign businesses operating and investing in Vietnam, while continuously improving the business investment environment to make it more equitable, transparent, and convenient.

The Party leader highlighted several priority areas for Luxshare-ICT Group to further increase investment in Vietnam, including the digital economy, green economy, science and technology, innovation, electronic components, and semiconductor industry development. Additionally, the General Secretary encouraged the group to promote technology transfer and support the training of high-quality human resources for Vietnam.

On behalf of Luxshare-ICT Group, Mr. Vương Lai Thắng expressed his honor and sincere gratitude to the General Secretary for taking the time to meet. The group’s leadership reported to the General Secretary on the business and development achievements of Luxshare-ICT. He emphasized that Luxshare-ICT consistently regards Vietnam as its most important production hub among the 29 countries and territories where the group invests overseas.

The leadership of Luxshare-ICT Group also affirmed their ongoing focus on training and enhancing the skills of Vietnamese engineers and workforce, with the group’s local personnel localization rate consistently leading among foreign enterprises.

Mr. Vương Lai Thắng agreed with the General Secretary’s important strategic directions and expressed confidence in Vietnam’s development prospects. The leadership of Luxshare-ICT Group confirmed that the group will continue to invest and expand its business in Vietnam through the implementation of several large-scale projects in science, technology, and innovation in Bắc Ninh province and other localities, with a new project revenue scale of no less than $10 billion. This will contribute to elevating Vietnam’s position in the high-tech industry chain regionally and globally.

In reality, Luxshare-ICT Group is not a new name in Vietnam. The company has been operating in Vietnam for 10 years, specializing in the production of electronic components for major brands such as Apple, Samsung, Lenovo, Sony, Asus, and Huawei. To date, Luxshare-ICT Group has invested over $1.8 billion and created jobs for tens of thousands of local workers.
