On November 18, Vietjet Air submitted an official document to the Southern Airports Authority in Con Dao and Con Dao Airport, announcing the resumption of flights connecting to Con Dao Airport (VCS).
According to the plan, starting November 25, the airline will deploy 4 aircraft to operate two routes: Hanoi – Con Dao and Ho Chi Minh City – Con Dao, with a frequency of one flight per direction daily.

Currently, only VASCO (a member of Vietnam Airlines) operates flights from Con Dao to Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho.
By December 15, Vietjet Air will add 4 more aircraft, doubling the frequency to better serve passengers on these two key routes.
Previously, from April 2025, Vietjet Air operated direct flights between Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Con Dao. However, by mid-October 2025, the airline temporarily suspended operations, forcing passengers from the North to connect through Ho Chi Minh City or Can Tho before continuing to the island.
Currently, only VASCO (a member of Vietnam Airlines) operates direct flights to Con Dao from Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho, using ATR-72 aircraft.
The resumption of these direct routes provides passengers with more convenient travel options, reduces travel time, and lowers costs compared to connecting flights.
This move is also timely as Con Dao is approaching the year-end tourism peak season, with a significant increase in travel demand expected.
