On November 19th, Da Nang City Police announced that Ha Nha Commune Police received a rare pangolin voluntarily surrendered by a local resident.

Earlier, while working in the fields, Mr. Doan Cong Khanh (57 years old, residing in Hoa Thach village, Ha Nha commune) discovered a live pangolin weighing approximately 4.7 kg. Recognizing it as a species strictly protected by law, Mr. Khanh brought it home and proactively contacted Ha Nha Commune Police to hand it over in accordance with regulations.
Upon receipt, Ha Nha Commune Police documented the case, collaborated with specialized agencies to inspect the pangolin’s condition, and completed the handover procedures to the Inter-Commune Forest Ranger Unit Zone 3 for release into the wild.
