According to reports, the Ring Road 2.5 project spans a total length of 19.41 km, with a cross-section ranging from 40 to 50 meters. It begins at the intersection with the Thanh Trì Bridge approach road and ends in Phú Thượng Ward. Despite commencing years ago, the project remains incomplete.

Upon review, the entire Ring Road 2.5 within the city is divided into 13 segments. Approximately 7.6 km has been developed as per the plan, 9.36 km is currently under investment, and 2.45 km has yet to be studied for investment.

One of the most significant challenges at present is land clearance, affecting 5 segments under construction and 3 yet to begin.

Ring Road 2.5 is a vital artery, not only fostering socio-economic development but also serving as a critical solution to the city’s traffic congestion. Completing the remaining segments will synchronize with other infrastructure projects, reducing travel time, alleviating peak-hour bottlenecks, and improving urban air quality.

As Hanoi undergoes rapid urbanization, Ring Road 2.5 is pivotal in achieving infrastructure breakthroughs and addressing traffic congestion—one of the five critical bottlenecks the city is focused on resolving.

Concluding the meeting, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, Nguyễn Duy Ngọc, emphasized that all relevant agencies, units, and localities must clearly define their political responsibilities. They are to dedicate full attention to resolving challenges and implementing the project as planned.

Mr. Ngọc stressed the need for meticulousness in every task, particularly land clearance. He urged thorough preliminary investigations, understanding local conditions, and engaging with residents from the outset. Additionally, city agencies and units should maximize mechanisms and policies to address obstacles, ensuring fair treatment of residents’ legitimate interests, and accelerating project progress to meet targets.

He underscored that this project is a central priority for the city, crucial for Hanoi’s future development and meeting the practical needs of its people. He called for the mobilization of the entire political system, enhanced communication, and public engagement to ensure shared support and timely project completion.
