The Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (VAMA) has released sales figures for November 2025, revealing a surprising resurgence in sales for the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport. Specifically, the Japanese SUV recorded 27 units sold in November, the highest monthly figure this year. Notably, from April to October 2025, the Pajero Sport had zero sales.

According to Mitsubishi Vietnam’s official website, the Pajero Sport is no longer available with a diesel engine option. Instead, it offers two gasoline variants: the Gas 4×4 STD priced at VND 1.23 billion and the Gas 4×4 Premium at VND 1.31 billion. Under the hood, these models feature a 3.0L V6 gasoline engine delivering 206 horsepower and 279Nm of torque. Paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, the vehicle can reach a top speed of 182 km/h.

Interestingly, the website specifies that the Pajero Sport is exclusively sold to project customers, meaning it is only available in bulk to corporate clients rather than individual buyers. This likely explains the sudden spike in sales, despite the model’s overall low sales volume of just 75 units year-to-date, significantly trailing the Isuzu Mu-X, which has sold 248 units.

The facelifted gasoline version of the Pajero Sport has not yet been officially launched in Vietnam. Key updates include a redesigned grille and 18-inch swirl-pattern alloy wheels. The vehicle features LED Projector headlights. Inside, the cabin boasts a new steering wheel design similar to those found in models like the Xforce and Triton. However, the instrument cluster retains an analog display rather than the digital setup seen in Thai-market versions. The central infotainment screen remains a 7-inch unit, unchanged since 2019.
