According to the Hanoi E-Portal, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen recently chaired a meeting with relevant departments, agencies, and businesses to review the progress of implementing the city’s directives on transitioning to “green” transportation.

Regarding the pilot installation of electric vehicle charging stations and battery swap cabinets at public parking lots managed by Hanoi Parking Management Company, V-Green Global Charging Station Development Joint Stock Company will collaborate with Hanoi Parking Management Company to study, survey, and pilot the initiative at 39 parking locations across the city.

Of these, 15 sites are expected to be implemented in 2025. The selected locations are primarily licensed parking areas with available space, situated along convenient transportation routes to ensure easy public access and reduce infrastructure investment costs.

However, the implementation must strictly comply with regulations on planning, electrical safety, fire prevention, traffic order, environmental hygiene, and ensure that charging stations are compatible with multiple vehicle types.

The Department of Construction has proposed that the Hanoi People’s Committee approve the pilot program, providing a basis for evaluating practical effectiveness and gradually expanding the charging station network to meet the demand for clean energy transportation in the capital.
