According to Petrovietnam, Vietnam Gas Corporation (PV GAS) plans to invest over 100 trillion VND in the 2026–2030 period.
Last year, PV GAS’s parent company was assigned 12 projects with a disbursement value of over 3.3 trillion VND. These projects have been actively implemented, adhering closely to the schedule; the parent company’s total disbursement reached 3.4 trillion VND, equivalent to 103% of the plan.
Major projects currently underway include: Expanding the Thi Vai LNG storage capacity to 3 million tons/year; Son My LNG Import Terminal; LNG storage in the Northern and North Central regions; PV GAS – Hai Phong Port; Ethane Separation at Dinh Co; Gas supply for Long An 1 and 2 Power Plants; Capacity upgrade of the Phu My – Ho Chi Minh City gas pipeline; Pipeline systems for collecting and transporting gas from the White Tiger and Tuna fields, among others.
PV GAS is also upgrading and expanding the PV GAS Vung Tau Port, developing small-scale hydrogen production, providing cold energy solutions, and planning gas supply for the Southwest region via FSRUs. Additionally, PV GAS, alongside Petrovietnam and other partners, is actively exploring investment cooperation and value chain integration, including strategic national energy hub projects, hydrogen blending with natural gas, and leveraging existing gas infrastructure for transportation and distribution.
In 2026, PV GAS aims to accelerate key projects with a planned construction investment disbursement of over 9 trillion VND. This is a crucial step toward its long-term strategy, as the corporation plans to invest over 100 trillion VND during the 2026–2030 period.
PV GAS CEO Pham Van Phong emphasized that LNG infrastructure is a key investment priority amid the energy transition and declining domestic gas reserves. Integrating LNG is essential for energy security and achieving Net Zero by 2050.
Furthermore, PV GAS will actively seek upstream and downstream investment opportunities, pursue M&A deals, and enhance technology application to optimize enterprise value. The company aims to strengthen energy infrastructure for sustained long-term growth.
According to Nguyen Thanh Binh, Chairman of PV GAS’s Board of Directors, the company is in a phase of rapid quantitative and qualitative growth. Over the past five years, revenue and profit have nearly doubled, despite challenging conditions.
In the next five years, particularly in the pivotal year of 2026, PV GAS will vigorously implement its strategy, focusing on production and operations as the core, investment as the foundation, and market expansion as the driving force. This approach will enable active and comprehensive participation across the entire gas and LNG value chain, from upstream to downstream.
In 2025, PV GAS achieved record-breaking results in its 35-year history. Consolidated revenue reached an all-time high of 134 trillion VND, a 27% increase from 2024, marking the highest growth rate ever. Pre-tax profit was nearly 15 trillion VND, up 14% year-on-year, with contributions to the state budget exceeding 7.8 trillion VND.
