Sunrise Phan Thiet Airport Limited Liability Company was established on December 19, 2025, with its headquarters located in the Phan Thiet coastal urban area (Phu Thuy Ward).
The company has a chartered capital of 600 billion VND, primarily focusing on the construction of airports and civil engineering works. Additionally, it expands its operations into road and railway construction, as well as real estate development.
Sunrise Phan Thiet Airport LLC has three shareholders, with Sunrise Airport Corporation (SAC) holding 55% of the capital and serving as the controlling shareholder.
The two individual shareholders are Mr. Tran Van Hai, owning 15%, and Mr. Trinh Quang Minh, holding 30%. Mr. Minh also serves as the CEO and legal representative of the company.
Sunrise Airport Corporation (SAC) was established on June 6, 2025, with a chartered capital of 4,500 billion VND, founded by Sun Group (Sun Group Joint Stock Company) and its ecosystem members. The legal representative is Ms. Phan Bui Bich Phuong, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors. SAC is also the operator of Phu Quoc International Airport, an airport invested by Sun Group.
The establishment of Sunrise Phan Thiet Airport Company coincided with the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee’s approval of the investment policy for the civil aviation component of the Phan Thiet Airport project in mid-December 2025.
According to the plan, the civil aviation component of Phan Thiet Airport will cover approximately 74.6 hectares, aiming to serve 2 million passengers annually by 2030. The airfield is expected to have 6 parking stands, two taxiways (121m x 23m), and an air traffic control tower approximately 45m high. The passenger terminal will be built on a floor area of 16,000–18,000 m², along with auxiliary systems and a parking area of 13,000–15,000 m².
The total investment for this component is estimated at 3,797 billion VND, requiring the investor to contribute a minimum of 15% equity capital, equivalent to nearly 570 billion VND. The implementation period is set at 24 months from the issuance of the investment decision, with a 50-year operation term.

Before the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee issued the investment approval decision, in July 2025, Sunrise Airport Corporation submitted a document expressing its interest in investing in the civil aviation component of Phan Thiet Airport.
The company proposed changing the investment model from BOT to business investment under the Investment Law and indicated it could commence construction on August 19, 2025, if approved. However, the implementation did not proceed according to the company’s proposed timeline.
The early completion and operation of Phan Thiet Airport are expected to significantly boost the tourism industry in Binh Thuan Province, which is emerging as a leading destination for beach tourism, water sports, and luxury accommodations.
