At approximately 1:48 AM on January 14th, the Hanoi City Police Command Center received a report of a fire at the An Phú lodging house, located at 87 Alley 1, Vũ Trọng Khánh Street, Hà Đông District.
Authorities swiftly mobilized six fire engines, one ladder truck, one utility truck, and one command vehicle from Firefighting and Rescue Teams 4, 13, 15, and 31 of the Hanoi City Police Department. Approximately 50 officers and firefighters were dispatched to the scene to combat the blaze and conduct rescue operations.
The fire originated in a third-floor room of the multi-story lodging house, covering an area of approximately 136 square meters. Upon arrival, firefighting teams promptly deployed to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to upper floors.
Firefighters successfully guided occupants to safety, ensuring no casualties during the evacuation.
After relentless efforts, the fire was fully extinguished by 2:10 AM, preventing further spread to neighboring residences.
Rescue teams successfully evacuated all seven individuals from the building unharmed.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
