According to Hai Phong Newspaper, during a recent meeting between Hai Phong city leaders and the European Union Delegation to Vietnam, Mr. Bruno Jaspaert, Chairman of the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham) and CEO of DEEP C Industrial Zones, shared his insights:

“Having lived and worked in Hai Phong for decades, I’ve witnessed the city’s remarkable transformation. I consider myself a true Hai Phong resident…”

Mr. Bruno Jaspaert, a Belgian entrepreneur, has served as CEO of DEEP C Industrial Zones (Dinh Vu, Hai Phong) since 2018 and was appointed Chairman of EuroCham in September 2024. He successfully persuaded the EU delegation to stay in Hai Phong instead of a nearby coastal city, allowing them to experience the city firsthand.

In 2025, Hai Phong’s economy continued its impressive growth, with a GRDP increase of 11.81%, nearly 1.5 times the national average. The city attracted nearly VND 560 trillion in domestic investment and approximately USD 20 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI), primarily in manufacturing and supporting industries.

Additionally, nearly 7,500 new businesses were established, many in the manufacturing sector, further solidifying the city’s industrial foundation. Mr. Jaspaert reflected, “When I first arrived in Hai Phong eight years ago, I recognized its strategic potential for the new era. Compared to 7–8 years ago, today’s Hai Phong has seen significant changes, particularly the surge in FDI enterprises.”

He added, “Through my experiences and connections, Hai Phong has demonstrated immense potential, compelling investors to stay and expand their operations.” The DEEP C Industrial Zones exemplify this growth, expanding from 1–2 initial zones to three thriving industrial parks today.

At the Vietnam Industrial Real Estate Forum 2023, Mr. Jaspaert highlighted the promising future of Vietnam’s industrial real estate sector. “In the next 7–10 years, I foresee continuous growth in industrial real estate. I also believe eco-industrial parks will expand significantly,” he stated.

Regarding DEEP C’s future plans, the company remains committed to expansion in Vietnam, seeking suitable locations, partners, and legal frameworks. DEEP C is open to further growth in the North, Central, or Southern regions, depending on opportunities.
