On January 19th, sources from the newspaper Người Lao Động revealed that Vietravel Airlines is set to rebrand in the second quarter of 2026. This move is part of a comprehensive restructuring process involving ownership and operational changes, including a new brand identity.
Previously, in a resolution passed by the Board of Directors of Vietravel Tourism Group in November 2025, the company announced its plan to divest entirely from Vietravel Airlines by December 31, 2025, and terminate the airline’s use of the Vietravel brand. Following this, Vietravel Airlines will operate under a new, independent brand, separate from the Vietravel ecosystem.
After Vietravel’s withdrawal, the airline’s shareholder structure will consist of investors such as T&T Airlines, T&T SuperPort, BVIM Fund, and other individual shareholders…
For Vietravel Airlines, Vietravel’s complete divestment marks the beginning of an independent operational phase, necessitating the development of a new growth strategy and brand identity suited to the evolving competitive landscape.
Vietravel Airlines to Rebrand
Following T&T Group’s strategic investment, Vietravel Airlines has implemented significant adjustments. In 2025, the airline transitioned from leasing to owning aircraft, acquiring its first Airbus A321, followed by an additional Airbus A320, with plans to expand its fleet further.
Aircraft ownership enables the airline to optimize costs and enhance operational flexibility on domestic routes such as Hanoi – Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City – Phu Quoc, while laying the groundwork for network expansion.
In parallel with fleet development, Vietravel Airlines is strengthening its workforce and operational infrastructure. The airline is actively recruiting flight attendants and personnel across operations, services, and management to prepare for the 2026 Lunar New Year peak season, collaborating with authorities to increase flight frequencies, including night flights where feasible.
Another restructuring initiative involves relocating the airline’s headquarters to 172 Ngọc Khánh, Hanoi, featuring a modern office design that facilitates centralized management, thereby improving coordination efficiency during periods of high market demand.
