In the past decade, the Internet has changed the world. In this regard, Vietnam has emerged as a country that is quite savvy in terms of digital technology. According to the latest ITU rankings of the top 10 countries with the most digitally skilled citizens, Vietnam ranks 9th in the world with 7.5 million people; behind “powerhouses” like China, the United States, India, Brazil, Japan, Mexico, Russia, and Germany.

In a recent update, AMD reaffirmed that Vietnam continues to be a key market for the company. AMD was founded in 1969 by a group of engineers who split off from Fairchild Semiconductor. It is now a multinational corporation with tens of thousands of employees in Europe, Japan, and the United States.

On the world map, the Vietnam AI and information technology market, according to AMD, has seen positive developments and has attracted a lot of foreign investment. This will be one of the advantages for Vietnam’s development. Not to mention, Vietnam is a developing country with stable GDP growth, a large population, a young population, a diverse market, and potential.

Therefore, AMD has been early to develop a diverse ecosystem of products for DIY PCs, laptops, workstations, consoles, as well as specialized products for projects and education in Vietnam. AMD is also an opponent of Intel in the CPU market.

For AI, AMD has noticed the government’s interest and the potential of this market in Vietnam. AMD has recently partnered with ASUS, AOC & Lexar… to launch Vietnam’s first AI desktop computer using the Ryzen 8000G Series processor – ROSA PC AI. In 2023, AMD introduced a chip integrated with AI in the AMD Ryzenâ„¢ 7 7040 Series laptop processor. AMD will not only focus on laptops but also develop AI in products for desktops.

In fact, AMD’s conquest of AI technology is just beginning, and AI has become a technology trend since 2023. More and more players are exploring this new market.

According to a survey by Finastra Financial Services State of the Nation Survey 2023, Vietnam currently leads in interest in Generative AI, with 91% of respondents expressing enthusiasm for this technology, the highest among the surveyed markets.

A report from Statista Market Insights indicates that the market size of Generative AI in Vietnam is expected to reach $100.2 million in 2023. This is in line with the global trend. According to Tech in Asia, Bloomberg Intelligence’s latest report states that the global market size of General AI could increase from $40 billion in 2022 to $1.304 trillion in 2032. The compound annual growth rate (CAGR) is expected to reach 42% by 2032. Moreover, the growing demand for General AI products could generate $280 billion in software revenue.

Although the application of AI in business has opened up a new era and helped businesses operate more efficiently, many businesses in Vietnam still struggle to understand AI’s true potential.

The latest report from Cisco & IDC on the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises in the Asia-Pacific region shows that 35% of businesses worldwide have recognized and benefited from this technology, and Vietnam is gradually catching up with this trend.

However, many Vietnamese businesses, especially 98% of small and medium-sized enterprises, still do not fully understand the role of digital transformation in the Industrial Revolution 4.0. Only 31% of businesses are at the beginning of the digital transformation process, 53% are in the observation phase, and only 3% have completed the basic process.

There are many reasons why Vietnamese businesses face barriers in the digital transformation process, such as a lack of digital skills and human resources (17%), a lack of a strong IT foundation to enable digital transformation (16.7%), a lack of digital mindset or challenges related to digital culture in the business (15.7%)…

“In the process of teaching AI, I have seen many people eager to apply AI but don’t know how. As someone involved, I want to prove to everyone that AI can help us with many everyday tasks, such as reading books in 1-2 months or assisting in artistic creativity and business management,” said Cao Xuan Hoai Vuong, Chairman of AI Next Global.

As a Vietnamese AI company, AI Next Global understands the needs of domestic businesses and focuses on the AI assistant product segment. For example, the company has recently released AIVA, which is described as a companion for individuals and businesses, as well as experts in many fields, applying AI in an efficient manner.
