On the second day of Tet, even though traditional markets haven’t opened yet, many small traders have resumed selling their goods. They set up temporary stalls on the sidewalks, in front of closed stores.

Green vegetables, noodles, pho, and seafood are the most common items being sold on the second day of Tet.

For Tet feasts, housewives buy noodles, pho, and deep-fried dough sticks to add variety to the family’s meals. The price of noodles and pho is 20,000 VND per kilogram, double the usual price.

Although there is a wide variety of green vegetables available, most prices have only slightly increased compared to before Tet. The favorable weather conditions have helped stabilize prices.

Prices for cabbage soup, corn, and mustard greens are 15,000 VND per item or 20,000 VND per bunch. These prices have increased by 2,000-3,000 VND compared to before Tet.

Coconut water is in high demand during Tet. Sellers have reported good sales, and prices have remained the same as usual, ranging from under 30,000 VND per fruit. Pre-packaged coconut water is priced at 45,000 VND per liter bottle.

Seafood is also in demand on the second day of Tet. However, there are limited options, and prices have increased compared to usual days. Razor clams are priced at 250,000 VND per kilogram; crabs and clams are priced at 800,000 VND per kilogram, an increase of 100,000-200,000 VND per kilogram.

On the second day of Tet, many supermarkets have not resumed operations. Topmarket will open on the third day of Tet, while Winmart, Winmart+, and Fuji Mart will resume operations on the fourth day of Tet…

Convenience stores and 24-hour stores are open during Tet.
