According to information from the leaders of the Yen Thanh district People’s Committee, in 2023, the amount of remittances sent to the district reached 252 million USD, an increase of 7 million USD compared to 2022, accounting for 50% of the district’s total production value for the year. In particular, the amount of remittances sent back during the Lunar New Year reached about 25 million USD (over 600 billion VND).
Yen Thanh is a locality with the highest number of overseas workers in the province, with nearly 20 thousand laborers working in European and Asian countries. Among them, there are many workers in European countries with very decent incomes, who send significant amounts of remittances back to their homeland every year, especially during the Lunar New Year.

But thanks to the economic efforts of the people, these villages are now well-known in Nghe land for their affluence and prosperity.
