On February 29th, a social media account shared information about the Vespa 946 Dragon appearing in Vietnam. This has attracted a lot of attention and surprised many people.

The Vespa 946 Dragon is a commemorative edition for the Year of the Dragon 2024, featuring a dragon motif in Asian culture. According to the Italian brand, only 1,888 units were produced worldwide and each is numbered in a specific sequence.

The vehicle is number 15 out of a total of 1,888 units.

In Vietnam, this vehicle is number 15 out of the 1,888 units and is imported by a private entity. Many sources have indicated that this scooter is being sold for approximately 2 billion VND (equivalent to luxury car prices).

The Vespa 946 Dragon was launched in January at an event held in Hong Kong. The scooter features a golden appearance with hand-painted green emerald dragon motifs from the front to the rear. Details such as the wheels, rearview mirrors, and handlebars are painted in the same color as the body of the scooter.

The side numbers represent the lunar years associated with the dragon symbol.

Additionally, the right side of the vehicle displays the numbers 12 00 88 76. This is an abbreviation for lunar years also related to the dragon symbol. Specifically, the number 12 represents the Nhâm Thìn year in 2012, the number 00 represents the Canh Thìn year in 2000, the number 88 represents the Mậu Thìn year in 1988, and the number 76 represents the Bính Thìn year in 1976.

In terms of performance, the Vespa 946 Dragon number 15 in Vietnam uses a 155cc version with a capacity of 12.7 horsepower and a torque of 12.8 Nm. Meanwhile, Piaggio Vietnam will bring in Vespa 946 Dragon scooters with a 125cc engine in the near future.
