With the direction of becoming a major tourism center of the country, Binh Dinh province is promoting tourism to become a key economic sector, diversifying products such as resort tourism, entertainment and water sports, science tourism – MICE tourism, cultural heritage tourism, especially bringing international sports events to the local area, creating attractions for domestic and foreign tourists.
The highlight event for the first time held in Vietnam is the Grand Prix of Binh Dinh 2024, which includes two categories – UIM-F1H20 powerboat racing and UIM-ABP Aquabike jet ski racing, expected to attract over 70 athletes, including world-class veteran racers.
The event will take place from March 22nd to March 31st, 2024, at Thien Nai lagoon (Quy Nhon City), promising to open a new chapter for water sports in Vietnam, while introducing a new model for sports economy associated with international events. It is expected that the event can attract over 40,000 domestic and foreign tourists.
Binh Dinh F1 Joint Stock Company is the sponsor and co-organizer of the tournament in coordination with the People’s Committee of Binh Dinh province. The supporting facilities have entered the final stage of completion, such as control house, press center, equipment repair area, fixed and floating pontoons for starting point… After the infrastructure is completed, Binh Dinh F1 Joint Stock Company will set up the main stage and stands with a capacity of about 6,000 spectators.
In addition to the Grand Prix of Binh Dinh 2024, a series of sideline events will be organized during the week of the two races in the program “Amazing Binh Dinh Fest 2024”, including: International culinary festival Binh Dinh 2024; International music and beach fashion festival; and especially the Investment Promotion Conference with a gala night meeting with billionaires.

The purpose of organizing this year’s Investment Promotion Conference in Binh Dinh is to promote widely the province’s potential and competitive advantages, create conditions for foreign investors and businesses to learn about investment mechanisms, preferential policies and investment environment, lay the foundation for investment activities and expanding cooperation between Binh Dinh and foreign investors, especially countries in the Middle East – Arab region.
According to the Department of Planning and Investment of Binh Dinh province, tens of billions of dollars worth of billionaires from Vietnam and abroad will attend this conference. Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper reported that the conference will invite about 500 delegates from domestic and international, including leaders and representatives of 16 provinces and cities nationwide. Business representatives and billionaires will also attend the powerboat races.
In 2024, Binh Dinh province also plans to organize many other major activities such as: Ba Nuoc Man Pagoda Festival (early March), Opening Ceremony of Binh Dinh Tourism Festival 2024 (April 2024), hosting the National Youth Championship in athletics 2024 in Binh Dinh (2nd quarter of 2024); Qui Nhơn – Binh Dinh Kite Festival (July 2024)…
