On March 7, at the National Assembly House, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly (NA) in coordination with the Government, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and relevant agencies organized the second national conference to implement the laws and resolutions of the 6th Session and the 5th Extraordinary Session of the 15th NA term. The conference was connected online to 63 locations across the country with 1,147 delegates participating. Chairman of the National Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue presided over the conference.

In his closing remarks, Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue acknowledged positive developments in the implementation of laws and resolutions. The agencies have shown a high sense of responsibility, proactiveness, and determination to overcome all difficulties and challenges, especially the pressure in terms of progress, scope, and workload to make urgent efforts to promptly implement and enforce the laws and resolutions.

Although the results of the implementation and enforcement of laws and resolutions mentioned above are commendable, according to the Chairman of the National Assembly, this is just the beginning.

According to the Chairman, there is still a large amount of work to be done, especially with many laws of the 6th Session and the 5th Extraordinary Session having a large number of provisions and overlapping responsibilities assigned to the Government and other regulatory agencies, which require a high level of progress, concentration, and great efforts and determination from these agencies.

He suggested that the National Assembly and the Standing Committee of the NA carry out the prescribed contents in the laws and resolutions; promptly handle emerging issues within their jurisdiction based on proposals from the Government, agencies, organizations, and NA delegates.

Chairman of the National Assembly calls for strict handling of “group interests” in law enforcement

The Chairman of the National Assembly requested the Government and the Prime Minister to closely follow the specific requirements and tasks for the implementation of each law and resolution; to soon issue a detailed list of legal documents for implementing the laws and resolutions and assign specific agencies to draft them within a specific deadline. Continue to issue plans for implementing the laws and resolutions of the National Assembly; allocate resources and prepare conditions to meet the requirements of the tasks.

Urgently build and issue within their authority 56 detailed legal documents to ensure progress and quality for them to take effect promptly along with the laws and resolutions, making them feasible, consistent, and coherent in the legal system, especially the legal documents that have close relationships with each other, such as the Land Law, the Housing Law, the Real Estate Business Law, etc.

“Do not allow overlap, new bottlenecks, procedures, or “illegal permits” in the organization of implementation” – Chairman of the National Assembly emphasized.

The Standing Committee of the National Assembly, the Ministry of Natural Resources, and Environment conducted research, compiled, and published the book “Land Law – Questions and Answers” to meet the requirements of popularization and propaganda of the law.

Implement synchronous solutions to enhance the effectiveness in law enforcement, tighten discipline, attaching it to strengthened inspection and supervision in order to prevent, detect, and promptly handle negative behaviors, “group interests,” “local interests” in the enforcement of laws…

The Chairman of the National Assembly suggested that the agencies make even greater efforts, greater determination, more responsibilities, closely coordinate, and more effectively to soon bring the policies of the National Assembly into practice.

TikToker analyzes Land Law attracting hundreds of thousands of views

Chairman of the National Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue highly appreciated the participation of social media in the dissemination of information, the dissemination of laws, especially the Land Law.

“I am delighted to see some TikTokers, bloggers analyzing Article 4 of the Land Law regarding the definition of Vietnamese people overseas, foreigners of Vietnamese origin… a live stream that attracts hundreds of thousands of views.

People participate in analyzing the new points of this law project for each subject. This is a very new point, showing the role of social media in participating in the dissemination of law projects,” said the Chairman of the National Assembly.

According to the Chairman of the National Assembly, social media plays an important role in communication, introducing some films commissioned by the State. Among them, if it were not for the influence of social media, many people might not know about the film “Dao, Pho, and Piano”. “I see this as an experience that the Minister of Justice and the Chairman of the Committee on Legal Affairs need to carefully study this phenomenon,” he suggested.
