On May 1st, Chinese carmaker Chery launched three upgraded 2024 Tiggo 7 SUV models into the market with prices ranging from 74,900 to 96,900 Chinese yuan (equivalent to 263 to 341 million VND), while the quoted price of the Wuling Mini EV ranged from 239 million to 279 million VND. This model is a facelift version, which has been improved in interior design and features compared to its predecessor.
The 2024 Chery Tiggo 7 has dimensions of 4,500 x 1,842 x 1,746 mm in length/width/height, with a wheelbase of 2,670 mm. The above parameters are comparable to a C-segment SUV like the Mazda CX-5 or Hyundai Tucson in Vietnam.
In terms of appearance, the 2024 Tiggo 7 still does not have many significant changes. The front of the car stands out with a grille made up of chrome-plated dotted details, although the shape has changed slightly.
The rear still retains the dual exhaust design and through-type taillights. The three exterior colors include: Pearl White, Obsidian Black, and Quantum Gray.
Viewed from the side, the car does not change significantly compared to the old model, except that the rims have been changed from black to silver. The car runs on 17-inch or 18-inch wheels, the tires have the parameters 225/65 R17 and 225/60 R18.
An outdoor camera and three ultrasonic radars have also been equipped to perform advanced driver assistance capabilities, such as ABS, emergency braking system, and precise calibration services.
In terms of interior, the biggest change is the addition of a 24.6-inch dual screen. The steering wheel has a flat-bottomed design, the full LCD instrument cluster is 12.3 inches in size, and the central control screen is also 12.3 inches. The car has a 1.1 m2 panoramic sunroof, bringing a 180-degree visual experience.
In terms of configuration, the highest-end version has added a high-resolution 360-degree camera and electric heating function for the front seats. Leather seats, automatic air conditioning, push-button start, and a 6-speaker sound system become standard features. Chery also claims to have reduced noise and vibration for the car.
The power of the 2024 Chery Tiggo 7 still comes from the 1.5T (6-speed manual transmission) and 1.5T (CVT transmission) drivetrains. The engine produces a maximum capacity of 154 horsepower and a maximum torque of 230 Nm.
The possibility of the Chery brand bringing the Tiggo 7 to Vietnam is still open, while 2 other SUV lines from the sub-brand have been confirmed to be sold this year, namely the Omoda E5 and Jaecoo J7.
