2024 Toyota Vios: A Sleek and Modern Upgrade

The new generation Toyota Vios, with its stylish design and modern features, has been long-awaited in Vietnam. While the vehicle was registered for industrial design protection back in late 2023, details about the new Vios have been scarce. As one of Toyota’s flagship models in the country, an upgrade to the new generation is inevitable.

In Southeast Asian countries like Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia, the new Vios, also known as the Yaris Ativ, has already made its debut. However, sales of this model were temporarily halted due to investigations into safety test fraud, which could be a reason for the delay in its launch in Vietnam.

The 2024 Vios boasts a new DNGA platform, larger dimensions, and a sportier design compared to its predecessor. With a length of 4,425 mm, a width of 1,740 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,620 mm, the new Vios offers a more spacious and comfortable ride.

The exterior of the vehicle showcases sharp angles and a sleek coupe-like rear end. The interior has been completely transformed, bearing resemblance to the Raize and Yaris Cross, featuring a new three-spoke steering wheel, a floating infotainment screen, and electronic parking brakes. The highlight of the new Vios is the Toyota Safety Sense suite, which includes adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and automatic emergency braking, among other advanced features.

The All-New Toyota Land Cruiser Prado: A Capable and Luxurious SUV

The new Land Cruiser Prado, likely to be named the LC250, distinguishes itself from the LC300 currently on the market. The LC250 boasts a complete redesign, both inside and out, with a boxy and rugged exterior optimized for off-road performance. The approach, departure, and ramp breakover angles are an impressive 31, 22, and 25 degrees, respectively.

The interior of the LC250 exudes modernity, featuring two large screens, a head-up display, electronic parking brakes, a premium 14-speaker sound system, and a large sunroof.

Under the hood, the LC250 is powered by a 2.4L turbocharged engine producing 326 horsepower and 630 Nm of torque, assisted by a small electric motor. The 8-speed transmission and two-wheel drive system ensure a smooth and responsive driving experience. Additionally, the LC250 is equipped with the Toyota Safety Sense suite, offering advanced driver-assistance features.

2024 Honda HR-V: Subtle Refinement with Enhanced Safety

The 2024 Honda HR-V has been teased through the registration of various parts and components for industrial design protection, including the grille, front bumper, and taillights. This facelifted model was recently introduced in Japan in April.

The new HR-V will be a facelifted version, featuring updated styling to the lights, grille, and front and rear bumpers. The interior remains largely unchanged, except for the removal of the trim around the gear shift area.

Based on the registered grille design, it appears to be the one equipped on the hybrid version. If the Vietnamese market receives the HR-V with a hybrid powertrain, it will be a significant advantage in competing against rivals like the Yaris Cross.

Internationally, the 2024 HR-V also benefits from an upgraded Honda Sensing suite, which includes low-speed steering assist and accelerator pedal misapplication mitigation system, preventing unintended acceleration.
