The car market has started to heat up again after the Lunar New Year holiday in 2024. Many car companies are offering discounts and incentives for “hot” car models, continuing to boost sales.
Honda City
The Honda City 2023 in the Vietnamese market comes in 3 versions: G, L, and RS, priced at 559 million VND, 589 million VND, and 609 million VND respectively. To welcome the Lunar New Year 2024, Honda is waiving 100% of the registration fee for the G and L versions of this car model. In addition, some dealers are offering an additional cash discount of 30 million VND for the car model, bringing the total discount for this B-segment sedan to approximately 86- 89 million VND.
The RS version has a 50% discount on the registration fee, equivalent to over 30 million VND (depending on the region).
The sedan model is equipped with many safety features such as Honda SENSING advanced safety driving assistance technology and Honda CONNECT infotainment system on the RS version.

Honda HR-V
Together with the City, the HR-V model (priced from 699 to 871 million VND) also has a 50% discount on the registration fee, which is equivalent to the highest amount of 44 million VND.
The second-generation HR-V has completely changed in terms of exterior design with larger size and fuel efficiency. This is also a car model that Honda has equipped with the Honda SENSING safety driving assistance system on all three versions.
In addition to HR-V and City, the CR-V G model produced in 2023 has a waiver of the registration fee and an additional cash discount of 30 million VND, bringing the total incentive to 85.45 million VND. For the CR-V L model produced in 2023, in addition to the discounted registration fee, the car model comes with an additional 1-year body insurance.
Similarly, the higher-segment sedans Civic (C-segment) and Accord (D-segment) also apply a 50% discount on the registration fee and free 1-year body insurance.
Not only Honda, but dealerships of Toyota, Suzuki, and Mitsubishi are also offering tens of millions of VND discounts for many products to boost sales.
Toyota Corolla Cross 2023
As a popular car model with 10,485 units sold last year, the Toyota Corolla Cross is expected to have even higher sales when this car model has a cash discount of 50 million VND.
The latest version, Toyota Corolla Cross 2024, has just been launched in the Thai market and is expected to be sold in Vietnam soon with 4 variants: 1.8 Sport Plus, HEV Premium, HEV Premium Luxury, and HEV GR-Sport, with prices ranging from 999,000 to 1,254,000 baht, equivalent to 680-855 million VND.
A series of Mitsubishi cars are discounted
Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam has implemented a car purchase program with 50% off the registration fee and a free 1-year body insurance. Specifically, except for the “newcomer” XForce, familiar models such as Xpander, Outlander, Attrage… are all applied with this discount.
Suzuki Hybrid Ertiga

Suzuki Hybrid Ertiga is the most discounted car model this time with a total discount of up to 140 million VND, including cash, a 100% registration fee, 2 years of body insurance, and a fuel voucher worth 30 million VND. After receiving the starting price discount, the ownership cost of the Hybrid Ertiga is only 428 million VND.
