The Sun Urban City project, located in the Bac Chau Giang area of Phu Ly city, marks the southern gateway to the capital city of Hanoi. It is the largest urban development project in Ha Nam province to date.

Sun Urban City is designed as a suburban resort city with over 1,001 amenities. The city boasts an impressive 18% building density, leaving ample space for greenery and water features. With 200 hectares of green spaces and five grand parks, residents and visitors alike can enjoy a vibrant festival park, a cultural park with a lakeside fireworks display, and the nearly 20-hectare Sun World Park. Sun World Park comprises a water park, a sports park, and an ecological park with Kid Universal, a children’s entertainment complex.

Ha Nam’s new administrative center, spanning 27.8 hectares, is also located within Sun Urban City. The city features a grand boulevard 150 meters wide and 1.5 kilometers long. Upon completion, Sun Urban City is expected to become a top destination for living, leisure, and entertainment for the people of Ha Nam and northern Vietnam.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Truong Quoc Huy, Vice Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Ha Nam People’s Committee, emphasized the project’s impact on transforming the face of Phu Ly city. He highlighted how it aligns with the vision to elevate Phu Ly to a first-class urban area by 2030 and Ha Nam to a centrally governed city by 2050. Mr. Huy also noted that with its modern amenities and services, Sun Urban City is poised to become a tourist attraction, contributing to the goal of welcoming 10 million tourists to Ha Nam by 2030.

Mr. Tran Minh Son, Member of the Founding Council and Permanent Vice Chairman of Sun Group, shared his vision for the project’s impact on the region’s economy and tourism.

At the ceremony, Mr. Tran Minh Son, a member of the Founding Council and Permanent Vice Chairman of Sun Group, expressed his confidence in the project’s potential: “With its inherent potential and strength, the land of Phu Ly – Ha Nam will rise as a new center, a hub for trade, and a gateway for investment. Sun Urban City will serve as a catalyst for the local economy and tourism, propelling the region to new heights of prosperity and connectivity.”

In addition to the Sun Urban City project, Sun Group, in collaboration with Ha Nam province, will host a series of cultural events from now until the end of the year. The Ha Nam and Hong River Delta Cultural Festival will feature fireworks displays, music festivals, traditional art performances, art exhibitions, and culinary delights.

The upcoming cultural festival will showcase the rich cultural heritage of the region, positioning Ha Nam as a top tourist destination in Vietnam.

This unprecedented series of events will celebrate the cultural essence of Northern Vietnam, showcasing the renowned tangible and intangible cultural heritage of the region. It aims to transform the “Mount Doi and Chau River” area into one of the country’s most appealing tourist destinations.
