Ho Chi Minh City Lottery Results for the First Half of 2024

For the first six months of the year, the lottery business achieved nearly VND 5,500 billion in revenue, up 4% year-on-year. The traditional lottery and scratch-off lottery segments contributed almost VND 5,380 billion to this figure. This equates to an average daily revenue of nearly VND 30 billion.

Gross profit, after deducting cost of goods sold, reached nearly VND 1,030 billion, a 16% increase.

Two notable variations during this period were a significant decrease in financial revenue to VND 22 billion (-39%) due to lower interest income, and a 7% rise in selling and administrative expenses to VND 66 billion. However, the company benefited from other income of nearly VND 800 million (compared to a loss of VND 28 billion in the previous period due to penalties and late payment fees). Ultimately, the lottery business reported a post-tax profit of over VND 787 billion, an increase of 19% year-on-year.

According to the 2024 production and business plan approved by the Members’ Council, these results represent 44% of the annual revenue target and over 58% of the annual post-tax profit goal.
