In mid-August, the first information about the Hyundai Custo facelift emerged in China. The first images of this version have also been released, with a promise to “offer great value for the money.”
Known as the Hyundai Custo in China, this MPV will feature a slightly refreshed front-end design. The distinctive diamond-pattern grille remains, but the interior has been tweaked with a sleek, chrome-trimmed arrowhead design.
The headlight structure is seamlessly integrated alongside the grille, creating the impression of a unified design. The front bumper has also been refined with a fresh air intake design.
While the side profile remains unchanged, the two-tone body color scheme adds a noticeable touch of sophistication when viewed from this angle. The wheels appear to be new 18-inch units. As rear-end images are not yet available, it’s unclear if any changes will be made to the rear design. Typically, minor adjustments are made to the taillights and rear bumper.
Step inside the new Custo, and you’ll find a refreshed cabin with a new 10.4-inch touchscreen, a four-spoke steering wheel, and a striking black-and-white color scheme. The second-row seating features a premium single-seat design, followed by a three-seat bench. A panoramic sunroof adds to the sense of spaciousness.
Under the hood, the Hyundai Custo facelift is expected to retain the existing engine options. Currently, it offers a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine producing 168 hp or a 2.0-liter turbocharged unit generating 233 hp, both paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The Hyundai Custo facelift will make its official debut in China on August 26, revealing all its details. It remains to be seen if these changes will be reflected in the Vietnam-assembled version produced at the Hyundai Ninh Binh plant.
