MG7 to Offer Multiple Trim Levels
Numerous images and videos of the MG7 undergoing road tests have been circulating on social media. Among them is a photo of a white MG7 at the distributor’s warehouse, likely the same car now on display at the dealership.

Additionally, two MG7s with distinct appearances were spotted on the roads. One white model featured a five-spoke wheel design, while the green model had a more intricate multi-spoke design. According to dealership consultants, the green model could be a lower trim, while the white model is likely the highest-spec version. Both vehicles are powered by a 2.0L engine.
Dealers have also shared that the MG7 will be offered in three trim levels when it goes on sale. However, the 1.5L engine variant has not yet been revealed.

The online community has expressed excitement over the MG7’s arrival at dealerships, with the biggest question now being the pricing. Rumors have placed the price at over 700 million VND, which would make the MG7 extremely competitive in the market, despite being positioned against the likes of the Toyota Camry, Mazda6, Kia K5, and Honda Accord. The MG7 promises to bring a fresh appeal to a segment that has been largely overlooked in the Vietnamese market.
MG7 Now Available for Booking in Vietnam
In fact, some dealerships have been accepting bookings since late 2023. However, it was only in the second quarter of 2024 that sales consultants actively started promoting the sedan and taking deposits.

According to dealership sources, the MG7 will be available in three trim levels: Deluxe, Luxury, and Trophy+. It will offer two engine options: a 1.5L and a 2.0L.
Dealerships are also offering early bird promotions, including a 10 million VND discount and five free maintenance services.
Expected Trim Levels and Features of the MG7 in Vietnam
The MG7 in Vietnam is expected to offer two engine options: a 1.5L gasoline engine producing 185 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission; and a 2.0L gasoline engine generating 257 horsepower and 405 Nm of torque, mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission.

At a media event held in China, MG offered test drives of the Trophy+ trim. According to a dealership consultant, the highest-spec MG7 for the Vietnamese market will also be the Trophy+ trim. This variant stands out with features like an electronic rear spoiler and a sportier X Mode driving mode.
The model spotted at the dealership is likely the Trophy+ trim, as it shares the same exterior design as the one offered for test drives in China. It sports 19-inch five-spoke wheels, dual exhaust pipes, LED headlights and taillights, and a coupe-style roofline. The window frames are frameless, adding a touch of elegance to the MG7’s overall design.

If the Trophy+ trim is indeed offered in Vietnam, the interior features could mirror those of the Chinese-market model. Notable amenities include a large dual-screen setup, a sporty three-spoke steering wheel, an Audi-like electronic gear selector, a Bose sound system, and a panoramic sunroof.
