
Authorities seized 8.4 tons of second-hand clothing of foreign origin intended for consumption.
On August 18, Team No. 1 of the Market Management Division of Phu Yen province, in coordination with the Traffic Police Division of the Phu Yen Provincial Police, intercepted and inspected a tractor trailer with license plate number 36H-029.XX and its attached trailer with license plate number 36R-029.XX traveling southbound on the North-South highway.
The vehicle was driven and the goods managed by Mr. B.D.P., a resident of Ngoai 1 village, Nga Giáp commune, Nga Sơn district, Thanh Hóa province.
Upon inspection, Team No. 1 discovered a total of 8.4 tons of second-hand clothing of foreign origin being transported in the vehicle.
At the time of the inspection, the driver and goods manager was unable to produce legal invoices or documents related to the shipment.
Team No. 1 has temporarily confiscated the goods for further investigation and processing in accordance with legal regulations.
