On August 22, the Fourth Conference of Overseas Vietnamese from Around the World and the Forum of Vietnamese Intellectuals and Experts Abroad in 2024, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, took place at the National Conference Center. The event was attended by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, leaders, and former leaders of the Party, State, National Assembly, Government, and Fatherland Front, as well as leaders from various localities. Over 400 overseas Vietnamese from more than 40 countries and territories also participated in this significant gathering.

Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB) was honored to be a part of this event as a supporting partner.

This conference provided a valuable platform for overseas Vietnamese to exchange ideas and offer strategic advice on important matters concerning Vietnam’s development in the new era. Mr. Pham Nhu Anh, CEO of MB, shared the bank’s appreciation for the contributions and capabilities of Vietnamese intellectuals abroad. He emphasized MB’s orientation towards expansion and its goal of becoming a well-known Vietnamese bank across the five continents, aiming to provide the best support for overseas Vietnamese.

Recognizing the importance of digital transformation for the bank’s development, MB has made it a strategic goal over the past five years. This is evident in its vision to become a digital enterprise by 2026. Currently, MB serves 28 million customers and is expected to reach 30 million before its upcoming anniversary this year (November 4, 1994 – November 4, 2024).

MB has focused on developing its mobile banking application (App MBBank), offering features that cater to the financial needs of overseas Vietnamese, including accounts, domestic payments, deposits, and international money transfers. These services enable expatriates to conveniently manage their finances remotely without having to be physically present in Vietnam.
