According to the representative of the Management Board for Traffic Infrastructure Construction Projects of Thua Thien – Hue Province, the delay in the project was caused by difficulties in site clearance and a shortage of construction materials. (Photo: Hoai Nhan)

In addition, the route includes a bridge over the railway with a length of more than 66m and a width of 31m. However, due to certain reasons, the construction of this bridge had to be halted for several years and was only resumed in mid-2022. (Photo: Hoai Nhan)

As recorded by VTC News reporters, up to this point, the connections to the railway overpass have been completed. The section from National Highway 1A to the railway overpass has been asphalted and is now open to one-way traffic. (Photo: Hoai Nhan)

According to local residents, the opening of the railway overpass on the Phong Dien – Dien Loc Rescue Road to one-way traffic will contribute to ensuring traffic safety.

The representative of the Management Board for Traffic Infrastructure Construction Projects of Thua Thien – Hue Province said that the units are currently making efforts to complete the construction of this road by the end of 2024.

According to the leader of the People’s Committee of Phong Dien District, the completion and opening of the Phong Dien – Dien Loc Rescue Road will contribute to connecting trade with other localities. It will also facilitate the transportation of products manufactured in the Phong Dien Industrial Park, thereby promoting socio-economic development and creating jobs for people inside and outside the district.

In January 2024, the People’s Council of Thua Thien – Hue Province passed a resolution to increase the total investment capital for the Phong Dien – Dien Loc Rescue Road project to over 770 billion VND.

This includes additional capital for tree planting, adjusting the concrete road width from 7.5m to 15m, and sub-projects to build resettlement areas for local residents.
