With a profound belief that after 50 years of reconstruction and development, the time has come for Vietnam and its people to shine and confidently assert themselves, contributing to humanity’s efforts towards peace, sustainable development, and happiness.

The Vietnam Forum: Vietnamese Moment aims to achieve two important goals. Firstly, it creates an opportunity for intellectuals, experts, scientists, cultural and social activists, and youth from Vietnam and abroad to contribute their thoughts and opinions on nation branding for Vietnam and towards the 2045 vision (focusing on technology, agriculture, human resources, and culture). Secondly, it connects Vietnamese people worldwide and across generations, placing them in relation to the past, present, and future, thus creating a continuous historical narrative up to the present day.

The opening session of the Forum was attended by over 70 experts from Vietnam and abroad, along with high-level leaders, leading experts, and reputable entrepreneurs. At the opening, Ms. Ton Nu Thi Ninh, the initiator of the Forum, stated: “After 50 years of reconstruction and advancement, the time has come for the people of Vietnam and overseas Vietnamese to stand together and assert their place among the community of nations. We unite in contributing to the common endeavors of humanity towards peace, sustainable development, and happiness. The Vietnam Forum: Vietnamese Moment aims to provide a platform for intellectuals, experts, entrepreneurs, scientists, cultural and social activists, and youth, both at home and abroad, to contribute their thoughts, opinions, and aspirations for a prosperous and happy Vietnam.”

Running through all the forum activities is the “Story of Vietnam,” highlighting what makes Vietnam and its people unique, both domestically and among the over 5 million overseas Vietnamese in 135 countries. It convincingly proves that Vietnam’s most valuable asset is its people.

The two-day forum featured over 20 seminars and discussions on diverse topics. These included a plenary session on nation branding and Vietnamese identity, a panel on the role of agriculture in Vietnam’s development towards 2045, presentations of initiatives related to Vietnam by overseas Vietnamese, discussions on building Vietnam’s brand and identity, Vietnam’s imprint in connecting with the world, dialogues with youth on the Story of Vietnam, a panel on branding for Ho Chi Minh City, and the launch of the Vietnamese version of the book “Vietnam: Asia’s Rising Star (VN6),” among others.

The forum successfully attracted over 15,000 direct attendees and was live-streamed on the official Viet Nam Forum: The Moment Fanpage, reaching and engaging nearly 60,000 viewers.

At the Gala Dinner held on August 17 at Capella Gallery, Ms. Ton Nu Thi Ninh expressed her gratitude to over 150 guests, including leading experts, artists, diplomats, and entrepreneurs in the fields of culture, economics, and society, who contributed to the success of the Vietnam Forum: Vietnamese Moment.
