PETEC has recently completed the process of seeking shareholder approval in writing to elect Ms. Giang to the Board of Directors and to dismiss Mr. Hoang. Mr. Hoang will also no longer represent the capital of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PV OIL, UPCoM: OIL), which holds 94.78% of PETEC’s capital.
Ms. Nguyen Linh Giang, born in 1978, is a native of Thanh Hoa province and holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Auditing. She has held several senior positions at prominent companies such as Vietnam Airlines and Standard Chartered Bank Vietnam.
Ms. Giang has an extensive work history with the Petroleum Transportation Joint Stock Corporation (PVTrans, HOSE: PVT) since 2007, where she served in prominent positions such as Deputy General Director, Head of Internal Audit, and Chairman of the Board of Members in several member companies.
As of April 2025, she became a member of the PVOIL Board of Directors for the 2025-2030 term. In early July, PVOIL appointed her as the Chairman of the Members’ Council of Thanh Hoa Petroleum Oil and Gas One-Member Limited Liability Company. At the time of her election to the PETEC Board, she did not personally hold any shares in the company but represented nearly 104 million shares of PVOIL, equivalent to approximately 40% of PETEC’s capital.
