On August 20th, FPT Corporation inaugurated and commenced operations of its FPT Fornix HCM02 Data Center in Ho Chi Minh City’s High-Tech Park.

FPT Fornix HCM02 is constructed on an impressive scale, boasting eight floors, a total area of 10,000 square meters, and a capacity of up to 3,600 racks. With these figures, it boasts the largest number of rack cabinets in Vietnam.

Racks are physical frames or cabinets used to hold and organize hardware components such as servers, network devices (switches, routers), storage equipment, and more.

The FPT data center is designed with a redundant architecture, featuring configurations of N+1, N+2, and 2N, enabling uninterrupted maintenance and an impressive uptime of ≥99.982%.

“FPT Fornix HCM02 is developed following a Carrier Neutral model, allowing customers to freely choose and connect with multiple telecommunications service providers. This model offers flexibility in connectivity, cost optimization, enhanced redundancy, improved operational efficiency, and, most importantly, fosters an open digital ecosystem, contributing to the assurance of national digital infrastructure sovereignty and security,” shared Mr. Tran Hai Duong, Chairman and CEO of FPT Telecom International, FPT Corporation.

Currently, FPT owns four large data centers in Hanoi (FPT Fornix HN01, FPT Fornix HN02) and Ho Chi Minh City (FPT Fornix HCM01, FPT Fornix HCM02), with a total area exceeding 17,000 square meters and accommodating over 7,000 racks. This ecosystem is a crucial platform, accelerating digital transformation for thousands of leading domestic and international organizations and enterprises.
