The People’s Committee of Kon Tum Province has announced its decision to approve the conversion of resettlement housing in the Ho Chi Minh Road-National Highway 24 Connector Project into social housing as public assets.

The resettlement houses are located in the urban area south of Dak Bla Bridge.
Specifically, the resettlement housing block in the urban area south of Dak Bla Bridge (Le Loi Ward, Kon Tum City) comprises 9 floors, with a total floor area of 8,856.5 square meters. It includes 96 apartments ranging from 49 to 70 square meters, along with auxiliary items.
The first floor is designed for parking, project management, security, public services, community activities, electrical and water facilities, garbage collection, storage, and shared sanitation facilities. It also accommodates stairs, elevators, lobbies, and corridors for smooth internal movement. From the second to the ninth floor, each level consists of 12 apartments, offering a variety of housing options.
Following the conversion, the entire housing fund will be classified as public assets and will be available for rent.
The Kon Tum Provincial People’s Committee has entrusted the Department of Construction with determining the beneficiaries of the housing allocation. The department will also fulfill its responsibilities as the managing agency of public housing assets in accordance with the applicable regulations.
The social housing and resettlement project in the Dak Bla Bridge Urban Area (Kon Tum City) was approved for investment by the Provincial People’s Council in 2018, with a total investment of approximately VND 128.8 billion. The project was assigned to the Management Board of Project 98 as the investor.
In August 2020, the Management Board of Project 98 proposed adjustments to the investment policy for this project, reducing the total investment to over VND 76 billion. Starting from June 2023, the project has been open for sale and rent.
