Surprisingly, the price of gold rings has risen even more than gold bars. Some retailers have even listed gold rings at higher prices than gold bars. For instance, Bao Tin Minh Chau JSC is offering gold rings at VND 143.6 – 146.6 million per tael (buy – sell), a VND 2.6 million increase from yesterday morning.

Meanwhile, global gold prices have risen to USD 4,161 per ounce, a USD 32 increase from yesterday morning. This equates to over VND 131 million per tael. Global gold prices continue to trend upward, and domestic prices are expected to set new records.
In the currency market, the State Bank of Vietnam set the central exchange rate at VND 25,114 per USD, a VND 2 increase from yesterday morning.
Bank USD rates are listed at VND 26,117 – 26,367 per USD (buy – sell).
On the black market, USD rates have surged to VND 26,963 – 27,073 per USD, an increase of VND 187 for buying and VND 197 for selling compared to yesterday morning.
