Toyota Vietnam has announced a recall program to update the dashboard software for various Toyota and Lexus models, totaling 7,579 vehicles. The program commenced on November 17 and is being carried out at all Toyota and Lexus dealerships nationwide.

According to the released list, the Toyota Alphard has 344 affected units, including 93 vehicles manufactured from July 20, 2023, to May 19, 2025, and 251 units produced from July 18, 2023, to May 14, 2025. The Camry model has only one vehicle under recall, manufactured on July 23, 2024.

The Corolla Cross accounts for the largest number, with 5,135 units produced from January 25 to October 21, 2024, and an additional 1,488 units manufactured during the same period.

The Corolla model includes 9 vehicles produced from October 6, 2023, to June 17, 2024, 471 units from June 1, 2023, to October 22, 2024, and 58 vehicles from January 16 to September 19, 2024.

In the luxury segment, Lexus has 73 vehicles under recall. This includes 44 units manufactured from November 17, 2023, to April 18, 2024, 27 vehicles from January 15, 2024, to March 12, 2025, and 2 units produced on August 2, 2024.

Toyota stated that all affected vehicles are equipped with a 12.3-inch dashboard display. During operation, the screen may fail to turn on after the ignition is activated, preventing drivers from viewing speed, warnings, and other critical information, thereby increasing the risk of accidents.

For non-genuine imported Toyota and Lexus vehicles subject to the recall, Toyota Vietnam will verify the information upon owner contact and provide free software updates at dealerships once confirmed.
