Toyota Corolla Cross

The 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross is set to officially debut in the Vietnamese market on May 6. Pricing has been announced in advance. The gasoline-powered version will cost 820 million VND, while the hybrid version will cost 905 million VND. There is no longer a G version like in previous years.

The 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross has already arrived in Thailand and Cambodia before making its way to Vietnam.

The 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross features a more pronounced electric-inspired look. The new LED headlights and honeycomb grille are reminiscent of the Lexus RX. Inside, there’s a 12.3-inch display behind the steering wheel, a 10-inch infotainment screen, an electronic parking brake with automatic hold, wireless charging, and a panoramic sunroof.

The hybrid powertrain for the vehicle has not yet been announced, but it is likely to remain the 1.8L gasoline engine paired with an electric motor. In Thailand, this electric motor has been upgraded from 53 horsepower to 71 horsepower.

The previous model had an average fuel consumption of only about 4.3 liters/100 km. The upcoming new version promises to be just as fuel-efficient, using the same technology.

Toyota Hilux

In addition to the Corolla Cross 2024, some dealers have indicated that the Toyota Hilux facelift will also debut in Vietnam in May. The dealers also revealed that they have received a projected price list from the manufacturer.

Accordingly, the Japanese pickup truck will have three versions: 4×4 MT, 4×2 AT, and Adventure, with estimated prices of 668 million VND, 706 million VND, and 999 million VND, respectively. Customers will have to pay an additional 8 million VND for the pearl white paint option.

Dealers have already accepted deposits for the Hilux and promised delivery within May.

The 4×4 AT Adventure version uses a 2.8L engine with upgrades in safety and convenience features. It boasts notable enhancements such as blind spot monitoring, a 360-degree camera, and a large display with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity.

The 4×2 AT and 4×4 MT versions will utilize a 2.4L diesel engine with a redesigned front bumper for a more aggressive and modern look.

The Toyota Hilux has been absent from the Vietnamese market for about a year due to the product not meeting Euro 5 emission standards. In the absence of the Hilux, the Ford Ranger has further solidified its position as the “segment king” with 3,562 units sold in Q1/2024, accounting for 87.3% of the segment.

Haval Jolion

The Haval Jolion was unveiled at the 2024 Bangkok Motor Show. As such, this model is expected to arrive in Vietnam soon. Although an official launch date has not been announced, the company has confirmed that it will bring in the hybrid version, and dealers have already accepted deposits. The estimated price provided by the dealers is around 700 million VND.
