Highlands Coffee launched in 1999 as a premium packaged coffee brand, offering high-quality roasted and ground coffee. Over time, the brand expanded through strategic partnerships, notably collaborating with the Philippine-based Jollibee group.
In mid-2024, reports emerged indicating that several major corporations were hesitant to invest or expand their operations in Vietnam. This reluctance is attributed to the Global Minimum Tax, which is perceived to diminish the country's appeal as an investment destination.
The project officially commenced on July 6, 2024, with a total investment of 5.833 trillion VND across two phases. It is jointly developed by T&T Infrastructure Traffic Investment and Development LLC and CIENCO4 Group Corporation.
