Cienco5 Real Estate Development Joint Stock Company has just submitted a document to the Department of Construction, Hanoi People’s Committee regarding the provision of clean water for Thanh Ha Urban Area. Accordingly, the company refers to documents from the Hanoi People’s Committee from 2004 to 2008, which stipulate that the unit responsible for supplying, operating, and managing the provision of clean water in Thanh Ha Urban Area – Cienco5 is Ha Dong Clean Water One Member Limited Liability Company.
Since 2018, the Hanoi People’s Committee has allowed Thanh Ha Clean Water Joint Stock Company to supply clean water to Thanh Ha Urban Area – Cienco5 using water produced at the Thanh Ha Clean Water Treatment Plant. By the end of 2023, the groundwater source of the Thanh Ha Clean Water Treatment Plant does not meet quality standards, so it has stopped supplying water to Thanh Ha Urban Area – Cienco5.
The remaining water source for Thanh Ha Urban Area is clean water from Duong River, bought by Nam Ha Hanoi Clean Water Joint Stock Company from water distribution companies in Thuong Tin, My Duc, Ung Hoa, and Thanh Oai districts. However, starting from March 25, 2024, the contracts for supplying clean water for these two units have expired and will not be renewed, so Nam Ha Hanoi Clean Water Joint Stock Company no longer has clean water to supply to Thanh Ha Urban Area – Cienco5.
Residents of Thanh Ha Urban Area lining up to get water for several weeks in 2023
Currently, Thanh Ha Urban Area only has one water supply source from Ha Dong Clean Water One Member Limited Liability Company. Therefore, to ensure clean water supply for residents of Thanh Ha Urban Area, Cienco5 Real Estate Development Joint Stock Company requests that the Hanoi People’s Committee assign the task of receiving, managing, investing, and supplying clean water to Thanh Ha Urban Area A – Cienco5 and Thanh Ha Urban Area B – Cienco starting from March 25, 2024.
At the same time, the company also notifies the residents of Thanh Ha Urban Area of the termination of the contracts with Nam Ha Hanoi Clean Water Joint Stock Company and Thanh Ha Clean Water Joint Stock Company from March 25, 2024. In addition, Cienco5 requests residents to coordinate in determining the meter readings of each household on March 25, 2024 to ensure the uninterrupted supply of clean water to households due to the change in the water supply unit.
Thanh Ha Urban Area currently has 23 buildings with about 16,000 residents. In June 2023, Thanh Ha Urban Area experienced a sudden water cut, causing disruptions in people’s lives. Immediately after the incident occurred, Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Tran Sy Thanh requested the Hanoi Department of Construction to inspect, handle, and ensure the supply of clean water to residents.
