The Vietnamese stock market did not start the new week positively as the VN-Index sharply reversed. Selling pressure appeared right from the opening of the morning session, pushing the VN-Index down to the 1,220-point level. However, bottom-fishing demand emerged, helping stocks recover and narrowing the index’s decline. The VN-Index closed the session on March 18 at 1,243.56 points, down more than 20 points compared to the previous session.

Foreign transactions were a negative factor as net selling exceeded VND 900 billion across the market.
