Khanh Hoa – Indonesia Meeting 2024
On March 21, in Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province, the Provincial People’s Committee, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Indonesian Embassy in Vietnam, organized the Khanh Hoa – Indonesia Meeting 2024 with over 350 delegates attending, including more than 150 delegates from Indonesia.
Attending the meeting were Mr. Nguyen Hai Ninh – Central Party Committee’s member, Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan – Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee of Khanh Hoa and leaders of departments and agencies. On the central side, there were representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

On the Indonesian side, there were Mr. Sakti Wahyu Trenggono – Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of Indonesia; Mr. Teten Masduki – Minister of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises of Indonesia; Mr. Denny Abdi – Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Vietnam; Mr. Adhy Karyono – Provincial Governor of East Java and representatives of departments, organizations, corporations, Indonesian businesses in Vietnam and Indonesian businesses in Vietnam.
The meeting aims to introduce and promote the outstanding potentials and strengths of Khanh Hoa Province, as well as the development directions of the province in order to attract Indonesian investors to utilize high technology, clean technology, modern management, value chain connectivity, etc.

During the meeting, Khanh Hoa Province shared about its economic and investment potentials, high-tech agriculture, aquaculture, as well as the potential export of its characteristic products to the Indonesian market.
Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan – Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee of Khanh Hoa – stated that Indonesia and Vietnam have deep cultural ties. Up to now, Indonesia is the 3rd largest trading partner of Vietnam in ASEAN, and Vietnam is the 4th largest trading partner of Indonesia in ASEAN. With the strengths and experiences in technology and finance of Indonesian enterprises, once combined with the advantages of Khanh Hoa Province, it will bring significant and practical benefits to both parties.
“Khanh Hoa Province will continue to strongly reform the investment and business environment, support Indonesian investors and businesses in the process of researching investment in the province. We commit to providing favorable conditions for Indonesian investors and businesses to achieve success and ensure sustainable development in the future,” said Mr. Tuan.
Mr. Denny Abdi – Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Vietnam – expects to continue receiving support and cooperation from Khanh Hoa Province.
At the meeting, Mr. Sakti Wahyu Trenggono – Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of Indonesia – stated that Indonesia and Khanh Hoa share common strengths in developing marine economy, tourism, aquaculture, and desire to continue creating opportunities for businesses to expand cooperation, promote trade activities, export seafood and fruits, thereby promoting local economic development.
