Bamboo Capital Group Chairman Resigns

Nguyen Ho Nam, former Chairman of Bamboo Capital Group (HOSE: BCG), has submitted his resignation letter to run as a member of Eximbank’s Board of Directors (HOSE: EIB).

On the morning of April 26, Eximbank held its 2024 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, at which the General Meeting voted to appoint Mr. Nguyen Ho Nam – Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bamboo Capital Group – to the Bank’s Board of Directors for the term 2020 – 2025.

The same afternoon, Bamboo Capital Group announced that it had received Mr. Nguyen Ho Nam‘s letter of resignation from his position as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bamboo Capital. The Board of Directors therefore added an item to the agenda of the General Meeting of Shareholders to remove Mr. Nguyen Ho Nam as a member of the Board of Directors for the term 2020-2025.

In his resignation letter, Mr. Nam stated that he was resigning from the position of Chairman in order to “focus on his work as head of the Founders’ Council and Advisory Board in guiding the strategic direction of Bamboo Capital Group”.

Bamboo Capital’s 2024 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders will be held tomorrow, April 27, online.

Bamboo Capital’s new Chairman of the Board of Directors will be elected after the results of the Board of Directors’ co-optation are available.
