In the latest disclosure, major shareholder Nguyen Thi Minh Phuong reported selling 3,500 CDH shares of Hai Phong Public Works and Tourism Services Joint Stock Company. The transaction took place during the July 1st session. After the transaction, Ms. Phuong still holds 199,428 shares, equivalent to 9.97% of CDH’s capital.

Calculated based on the closing price of the same day, it is estimated that Ms. Phuong earned about VND 56 million from the above transaction.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Phuong is a long-time major shareholder at CDH. According to CDH’s first announcement of the list of major shareholders, as of April 7, 2016, individual Nguyen Thi Minh Phuong held 203,428 CDH shares, equivalent to 10.17% of the capital. Up to December 31, 2023, nearly 8 years later, Ms. Phuong still held the same amount of shares.

Thus, in the first half of 2024, Ms. Phuong sold a net of 4,000 CDH shares.

Notably, Ms. Phuong reported selling CDH shares amid a sharp rise in market price. From the session on June 12, 2024, to the session on July 4, 2024, the market price increased by the maximum allowed limit for 15 out of 17 trading sessions, with one session seeing a slight increase and one session being unchanged. In total, the CDH share price surged more than 647% in less than a month and is currently standing at VND 21,300 per share.

In addition, liquidity in the last two sessions on July 3-4 unexpectedly surged to more than 20,000 units/session, while previously only a few hundred shares were traded each day.

According to our research, CDH was formerly the Urban Management Division under the People’s Committee of Do Son Town and was established in 1969. The company officially became a joint-stock company in 2015 and was listed on the UPCoM in June 2016.

The company’s main business is to undertake packages in the field of public services such as managing, exploiting, repairing, maintaining, and guarding sea dykes; planting, maintaining, and caring for the system of green trees and operating the public lighting system; collecting and transporting non-hazardous waste to ensure urban aesthetics. The company’s business location is in Do Son District and Duong Kinh District in Hai Phong City.

In terms of business results, in 2023, CDH recorded a total revenue of more than VND 125 billion. As a result, the company’s profit before tax was more than VND 5.1 billion, up about 8% compared to the previous year and exceeding the plan by 6%. In 2024, the company plans to achieve a total revenue of VND 128.9 billion and a profit before tax of VND 4.95 billion. The expected dividend rate remains at 5% in cash.
