The My Lam Resort Urban Area in Tuyen Quang is a project developed by Thai Son Construction Investment JSC, as per Decision No. 08/QD-UBND dated January 12, 2024, of the Tuyen Quang Provincial People’s Committee. The project was approved for investment by the Prime Minister’s decision on July 10, 2023.
The project is located in My Hang commune, Yen Son district, and Kim Phu and My Lam wards in Tuyen Quang city. With a total area of nearly 540.3 hectares, it is bounded by National Highway 37 and the My Lam residential area to the north, Nhu Han commune and Kim Phu ward to the south, My Lam ward to the east, and My Bang commune to the west.

The project is envisioned to be divided into four zones: A, B, C, and D. Zone A, located in the northwestern part of the planning area, spans approximately 141.04 hectares and is intended to be a high-end eco-resort and residential area featuring lakefront villas.
Zone B, situated in the southern part of the planning area, covers about 144.41 hectares. This area is envisioned to become a high-end eco-tourism and resort area with mountain villas nestled in the forest.
Zone C, occupying the central and northeastern parts of the planning area, comprises 202.12 hectares of hill and golf villas. This zone is planned to be a high-end eco-tourism and resort area with hill-facing villas overlooking the urban park and those offering views of the golf course.
Zone D, bordering National Highway 37 to the north, spans approximately 52.61 hectares. This area is intended for the development of a commercial and service-oriented residential area.
The projected population for the entire project is around 20,020 people, distributed as follows: Zone A – 3,700 people, Zone B – 5,856 people, Zone C – 4,920 people, and Zone D – 5,544 people.

The project requires the conversion of 62.96 hectares of specialized rice-growing land and 235.5 hectares of forest land for its implementation.
With a planned timeline of four years from the approval of the investment proposal (expected from January 2024 to January 2028) and a 50-year operational period, the project has a total investment of over VND 18,245 billion. Compensation and resettlement support account for nearly VND 1,232 billion of the total investment. Capital mobilization methods include owner equity contributions of nearly VND 2,752 billion (15%), customer capital mobilization of nearly VND 2,018 billion (11%), and commercial bank loans of over VND 13,575 billion (74%).
In terms of planning, the project aligns with the master plan for the construction of the My Lam mineral spring tourism area in Tuyen Quang province, approved by the Provincial People’s Committee on December 28, 2020. It also falls within the scope of the detailed planning for the My Lam mineral spring tourism area at a scale of 1/2000, approved on June 25, 2021. Given its scale, nature, and approved investment capital, the My Lam Resort Urban Area project in Tuyen Quang is categorized as a Group A project according to the criteria specified in the law on public investment.
Thai Son Construction Investment JSC, established in 2007, has a charter capital of VND 13.5 trillion. Vinhomes Joint Stock Company (HOSE: VHM) holds a 99.91% stake in the company. Mr. Vu Quet Thang serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors and also assumes the roles of General Director and legal representative. Mr. Thang is also the Chairman of the Members’ Council of Gia Lam Urban Development and Investment Company Limited and the Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of Vietnam Investment and Development Consulting Joint Stock Company.
In March 2024, Thai Son Company formed a joint venture with Dai An Construction Investment Joint Stock Company to undertake another large-scale project, the Tan My New Urban Area in Tan My commune, Duc Hoa district, Long An province.
Spanning an area of 930.89 hectares, the Tan My project is designed for a population of approximately 80,969 people. With a total investment of over VND 74.4 trillion, the project entails a cost of nearly VND 60.2 trillion for implementation and over VND 14.2 trillion for compensation and resettlement.

Expediting the disbursement of public investment funds for the Tuyen Quang – Ha Giang expressway project
On the afternoon of February 16, Minister Nguyen Chi Dung and the delegation from the Ministry of Planning and Investment visited and inspected the progress and urged the disbursement of public investment capital for the Tuyen Quang – Ha Giang expressway project (phase 1) passing through Bac Quang district, Ha Giang.
The Uncompleted Expressway: A Visionary Expansion
The initial plans for the first phase of the Tuyen Quang – Phu Tho highway consisted of just two lanes. However, during an inspection, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh made a pivotal decision to merge the first and second phases, immediately greenlighting the construction of a four-lane highway in 2023.
