Kicking off the trading session, Doji Group listed the round lot premium gold price at 75.65 – 76.95 million VND/tael, an increase of 600,000 VND/tael on both the buying and selling sides compared to the previous trading session on July 6th.
Saigon Jewelry Company listed their round lot gold price at 74.6 – 76.3 million VND/tael. This price reflects an increase of 200,000 VND/tael on the buying side and 300,000 VND/tael on the selling side.
Bao Tin Minh Chau Jewelry Company increased their round lot gold price by 600,000 VND/tael from the previous trading session, now listing it at 75.38 – 76.68 million VND/tael.
The increase in the round lot gold price is attributed to the continuous rise of gold prices in recent trading sessions globally. For many years, domestic round lot gold prices have been equivalent to world gold prices. As a result, the strong increase in world gold prices has caused domestic round lot gold prices to follow suit.
SJC gold bullion prices remain listed by businesses and state-owned banks at 74.98 – 76.98 million VND/tael for buying and selling.
While SJC gold prices remain low, it is difficult for people to purchase gold. Gold enterprises have sold out of SJC gold, and state-owned banks and the SJC company only accept gold purchase registrations online and via text message.
At the same time, world gold prices stood at 2,391 USD/ounce, a significant increase of 35 USD/ounce compared to the previous trading session. When converted according to the current exchange rate, world gold prices are approximately 75.1 million VND/tael, excluding taxes and fees.
In the currency market, July 7th falls on a weekend, and the State Bank of Vietnam has kept the central exchange rate unchanged at 24,246 VND/USD. In commercial banks, the USD/VND exchange rate hovers around 25,208 – 25,458.
