The Ultimate Guide to Elevating Your Writing Skills: “Equipping 50 Future Leaders: The First Central Committee Members of the 14th Term Undergo Knowledge Enhancement”

On the morning of July 8th, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, in collaboration with the Central Organization Commission, commenced an exclusive knowledge enhancement and training session for members of the 14th Central Committee of the Party, marking the first of its kind.

50 senior officials, who are prospective members of the 14th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, attended a training course.

The event was honored by the presence of Mr. Luong Cuong, Politburo member and Permanent member of the Secretariat; Mr. Le Minh Hung, Politburo member and Head of the Organization Commission; and Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, and Chairman of the Central Theory Council.

Mr. Luong Cuong, Permanent member of the Secretariat, delivered the opening speech.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Luong Cuong emphasized, “Cadres are the decisive factor in the success of the revolution. Cadre work is the key to building the Party and the political system. Building a contingent of cadres, especially strategic-level ones, is the top priority and an important task of the Party. It must be carried out regularly, carefully, scientifically, rigorously, and effectively. Investing in building a cadre contingent is investing in long-term and sustainable development.”

To enhance the capacity, qualities, and prestige of cadres at all levels, especially at the strategic level, to better meet the requirements and tasks of the new phase, the Politburo and the Secretariat decided to organize this training course to update knowledge and skills for the prospective members of the 14th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam. The Organization Commission and the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics were assigned to implement this important task.

Therefore, the program for this course has been carefully considered by the Politburo and the Secretariat, comprising 33 topics that encompass the country’s critical issues in the current period. These include fundamental issues on the Party’s ideological and theoretical foundation, Party building, state and political system construction, economic development, culture, society, national defense, security, foreign affairs, and leadership science in the new context. Additionally, the curriculum includes topics presented by foreign experts on building a ruling party and development in the context of digital transformation and green transition.

The training program for this course is highly relevant and suitable for the participants, who are strategic-level leaders and managers. The curriculum not only imparts knowledge but also equips trainees with leadership and management skills. All topics include discussion sessions to allow trainees to share their perspectives and enhance their understanding of theoretical and practical issues.

Mr. Luong Cuong emphasized that the Politburo and the Secretariat attach great importance to this significant training course. The trainees have been carefully selected, reflecting the trust and confidence placed in them by the Party, State, and people. He further stressed the need for the cadres to be fully aware of their responsibilities during their studies and to maintain a serious attitude towards learning. He reminded them of President Ho Chi Minh’s teachings to study to work, to be a good person, and to be a good official. They should study to serve the collective, the class, and the people and to serve the nation and humanity.

The organization of this training course for prospective members of the 14th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam demonstrates the Central Committee’s, Politburo’s, and Secretariat’s dedication, responsibility, and strategic vision in training and fostering strategic-level cadres for the Party and the State. It is also a testament to the meticulous preparation of numerous agencies and organizations within the entire political system.

On behalf of the 50 trainees, Mr. Phan Thang An, Deputy Head of the Organization Commission, expressed their commitment to conscientiously fulfilling their upcoming studies. They will attentively listen to the lectures, actively engage in discussions, and strictly abide by the class rules and regulations. They recognize that the training period is also a time to cultivate discipline and a focused mindset, transitioning from daily practical work to a state of heightened concentration on their studies. Additionally, they will foster solidarity and mutual support during their studies, living, and collective activities. They will approach their learning with humility and a thirst for knowledge, actively sharing their expertise and experiences in their respective fields and localities to help one another progress. Ultimately, they aim to apply their newfound knowledge and skills in their respective agencies, units, and localities.
