Green Thumb: How Công Minh’s Green Venture Blossomed with 600 Tender Wins Worth Billions

Colonel Nguyen Tuan Hung, Deputy Director of the Security Investigation Agency (A09, Ministry of Public Security), revealed that over 50 companies affiliated with Cong Minh Green Tree Company bid for more than 600 contracts in numerous localities, amounting to thousands of billions of VND.

During the Ministry of Public Security’s press conference on July 8th, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Tuan Hung, Deputy Director of the Security Investigation Agency (A09, Ministry of Public Security), provided an update on the case involving Cong Minh Green Tree Company.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Hung, the investigation has led to the initiation of two criminal cases on May 8th: “Violation of bidding regulations, causing serious consequences” and “Giving and Receiving Bribes.” A09 has not yet proceeded to prosecute any individuals in connection with these cases.

The investigation has revealed that Cong Minh Green Tree Company colluded with project investors to be included in the bidding process for various phases, including project development and total investment estimation. Once the bidding prices were approved, the company was either directly appointed as the winning bidder or used affiliated companies to participate in the bidding and secure the contracts.

A09’s scrutiny has identified over 50 companies within the ecosystem of Cong Minh Green Tree Company that were involved in more than 600 bidding packages across multiple localities, with winning bid values amounting to thousands of billion VND.

A09 is currently focusing on investigating and clarifying the responsibilities of organizations and individuals in accordance with the law, determining the extent of damages, and maximizing the recovery of state assets.
